Colston Communications, LLC was founded with a vision to provide time saving and valuable marketing and event management solutions for non-profit organizations and small businesses. We understand that our targeted organizations are unable to take on the time consuming details of planning events and marketing strategies, and it is our mission to provide the solutions that will best fit our clients’ needs while maintaining the integrity and focus of their primary goals.
Takia Colston and Bradley Krow, partners at Colston Communications, LLC, and our strategic partnerships have over 20 years experience in fund-raising, marketing, public relations, graphic design, event planning, website design and development, and publishing. Strategic alliances and relationships maintained within the non-profit and small business sector provides an additional level of comfort and security to our clients by allowing us to provide custom solutions to enhance existing programs and campaigns, and creating new fund-raising opportunities.
Colston Communications, LLC was founded with a vision to provide non-profit organizations and small businesses with cost-effective and quality marketing and event management services. From an early age, Takia Colston has been dedicated to serving her community and enlisted in the United States Army upon high school graduation in 1998. There, she served as a construction equipment mechanic and unit supply clerk. During this time, she was promoted to the rank of PFC (private first class) and began the course work to complete her BS in Business Management.
Since then, Takia has pursued work in the non-profit field working with her children’s schools as a volunteer. She has also held positions as PTA President for two schools, military spouse liaison services, peer tutoring, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Woman of the Year Candidate, and serves on the Board of Directors for The Nativity School of Harrisburg. In 2006, Colston Charities was founded under the direction of Takia Colston as Executive Director and has completed two successful fundraising campaigns in Central PA raising over $40,000.
In 2008, Takia Colston and Bradley Krow established Colston Communications, LLC. From conception, the goal of Colston Communications has been to provide non-profit organizations and small businesses with quality marketing and event management services. Takia’s vision to give back to her community while providing a superior service has been demonstrated with the successful marketing campaigns, development of websites, and management of events provided to several clients. She has managed and overseen numerous projects to include website design and development, the creation and implementation of marketing strategies, development of crucial community partnerships, management of major fundraising events, and creative advertising transactions.
Bradley Krow began his design career after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University in 1992. He joined a group of companies in the Metro Washington DC area which included Charleston Alexander Jewelers, Bakersfield Furniture and Hamilton Sleep Sofas. There he set up and ran the advertising department for these companies. Bradley created all advertising, photography and in-store marketing materials as well as buying all media including TV, magazine, radio and newspaper. In 1995, Bradley returned to Pennsylvania to work as a freelance designer until taking a position in 1996 with Harrisburg Magazine. Bradley started there as the only person in the graphic design department. In 2001, Bradley became a partner with Harrisburg Magazine, Inc. as the company started doing business as Benchmark Group Media. Bradley was instrumental in growing the company into a graphics and publishing house, including Web Development, while working as the Vice President and Creative Director.
In 2007, Bradley left Benchmark Group Media to join with partner, Takia Colston, to start Colston Communications, LLC, which is focused on helping non-profit organizations and small businesses attain their goals in the areas of event management, fundraising and marketing. Colston Communications has developed numerous partnerships in the areas of Public Relations and Web Development. Colston Communication’s goal is to not only do good work but to do work that is good for the communities it serves.
Bradley has been involved in a number of non-profit organizations including Harrisburg Parks Partnership, Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, Cub Scouts and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Central Pennsylvania, where he ran a successful campaign to become LLS’s Man of the Year for 2007.
